Hello to all,

I need help from all of you. I want to start in the electric class like 8 or 6 cell. I was doing search in the internet adn found some hulls that come already build with out engine and bateries.

What i need from all of you is a recomendation for a good DV to start in this category, engine, speed control. Im going to start from scratch so all the help from you are really apreciated.

Thanks in advance!

What's your budget?

A few options. Randy at BBY has an Ovalmaster 26 that can be setup on a budget or a high dollar race setup. Also, Offshore Electrics and Fuller's have a 25.5" Delta Force mono that can be setup on a budget or high dollar race setup as well. These 2 mono's are very common in the power level you are looking at.

Castle 120 controller.

Motors can range from a (cheaper) 6L or 7L Nemesis to a more expensive Neu 1512 1.5D or 1D. Recommend getting advice on these setups before purchasing anything once you've had a chance to research and narrow down your options depending on your budget.

Good cells and a good charger are also important. Are you planning on using NiMH cells, or are you going to use LiPo's (either now or possibly in the future)?

Hello,

Thanks for advice. The $$ for the budget is ok. No problem with that. I was looking the two internet sites for the hulls and looks really good.

Im planning to use Lipo's Bat. About the combinatios thay you know what is a good combination of boat, engine, bateries?. I want to run.....

Thanks in advance!

Hyperion DUO 610I Lipo charger

A pair of 2S1P 5000 mah Lipos (Flightpower or Poly RC). Wire them in the boat in parallel so the motor sees 2S2P (10,000 mah total).

Neu 1512 1D with water cooling jacket, Castle Creations Hydra 120 or 240 ESC

X438 Octura prop. .150 flex cable.

Either a fiberglass OM 26 from BBY or a 25.5 Delta Force. Hardware of your choice, including turn fins and trim tabs.

5.5 mm gold connectors for all wiring.

I'm assuming you already have R/C boating experience (?) This is a top-shelf N-2 Mono race setup and it would be wise to get local FE help to get this thing tuned for you. Only so much can be learned on the net.

If want to bring it down a notch, go with the Castle 120 controller and a Nemesis 7L motor with water cooling. X640 prop.

Paul at fastelectricrc.com is also a good one to chat with about this setup.

Thanks for your Suggestions, Im going to take care of all. and visit the site mentioned.

I already has sperience in RC nitro Boats. I have a Seaducer 67, SGX 67, CAT Aeromarine .45 and a Rico 21.

The local Association has a lot of RC electric boats and i want to start with them but searching in other places like this. i dont want to build the same that they has.

Thanks for your time and Suggestions.

Keep in touch.

Or you can buy a Super V 27 for $280 from Tower. Add batteries, preferably 2 - 2S lipos or 1 - 4S lipo, a Grim Racer 42 x 55 prop, and a good charger. The boat is otherwise RTR including radio. This is the most popular electric racing class in the Pacific Northwest.
