Have you considered "sleeving" the existing water outlets with a brass tube to extend them and then mounting your ball joints onto them. Perfect pivot point to tie the rudders together.

No need to drill anything. Just flip the tiller arm to the other side of the blade. So R rudder tiller arm points left and L rudder points right. Then build a linkage between the 2.

Thanks for the suggestions, lots of options it seems! I'm not sure how well I can flip the tiller arm, but I am going to look into it! 2nd rudder should be arrive this or next week then I'll get on it.

Hi,
try the twin rudder . With two servo motors you can change the position together during you run the boat. So you can ad some lift with them like a trim tab but no need them mount . Doing a corner will give you some freedom to steer moore with the inside or with the outside rudder , possible it will make the boat moore smoose no jumping or let the nose dive deeper getting higher grip for a tighter turn. Play with it and have fun.
