Offshore electrics sells a upgraded shaft for the sv. Problem being they are out of stock.

Product ID: ose-svcable

OSE

Upgraded AquaCraft SuperVee Cable

In Stock: 0

OSE Flex Cable Assembly for the AquaCraft Super Vee 27 Electric and Super Vee Nitro boats. Upgraded .150" Cable with 3/16" prop shaft. This is cut and ready to install in your boat. This upgraded cable is a higher quality with thicker wire strands and better aligned to the prop shaft then the stock unit. The prop shaft is only 2 1/4" long which reduces resistance and allows more strut adjustment. Which will help vibrations which will help reduce strut bearing wear. Just install it and go!This can also be used in any other boat requiring a .150 cable that measures 12" from tip to tip.No soldering or cutting required! Includes: Teflon Liner, cable with prop shaft and attached drive dog.

I copied this from thier site. If you go there and click on flex cables you will see it there.

The one shaft snapped towards the end ,when i pulled it oput teflon came with it, i see no reason to have the teflon in there when i look at it closely looks like the teflon had to do with it snapping, some guys saying they are putting a 3/16 shaft in there i dont see how when right now i dont have that much space for this shaft thanks alot Robert

Got it thanks what i dont like is the teflon liner to much to go wrong i take it you can run it without just make sure it is greased good? Robert

robert,, i dont beleive you can just take it out,,, im not sure, maybe somone who has done this will chime in,, but i think the i.d of the tube with out the liner will be to large,, i think you would be in if the cable was .187,, but .150 cable in that big i.d i think will make things worse... i dont know,,maybe not.. i personally never had a issue with the liner in there.. went a whole season with no broken shafts,, but one did get funny on me and start to twist apart.. <_<

Hers didnt twist apart, hers you could pull on it and it would stretch, i did order 2 shafts from offshore electric thanks again Robert
