adding a couple last minute touches before the first race [with enough time to tune of course! :D ] , i was wondering if anyone was willing to sell/trade a KB red or gold carb, or any carb that would be an improvement over the black plastic one on a KB 3.5cc OB.

thanks for looking,

Joe

Joe,

I have a red k&b carb for 3.5

$25.00 plus 3.85 shipping.

e-mail me if you want it,I can ship it today or tomorrow morning.

Joe did you not get the carb I sent out a few weeks ago?? The black one that was bored out? I have been waiting to hear how it worked.

James,

got your message and sent a reply....

Mark, James is sending me one that he bored out himself, i'd like to try it and tell him how it turns out before buying a different one. thanks for the offer, i'll ask you if you still have it if/when i'm ready to try a different one.

Pondskimmer,

i saw that, it's only a few bucks less than retail and from my experience with him [r-------lz not Mark] it's probably a factory defect or something. :p

I currently run a k&b 3.5 that use to have a gold carby on it, until i broke it, idle screw snapped off and jammed the barrel. Instead of buying a new carbie i just machine down a buggy slide carbie to suit. This gives you a better adjustment for the bottom end.

Have noticed a fair improvement in response and top end since the install.

Hi Nutz,

Did you want to sell the gold carb with the broken idle stop screw? I can fix it for my use on an OB. Are you interested? Drop me a mail.

thanks

Pondskimmer, you don't even want to get Joe and me started on Curtis (Roostertailz)! We won't go into it on this site. :-X Put it this way, I'd give Joe a carb before I'd let him buy one from him!

I'm just glad that we haven't been infested with cocky attitudes on this side of the web, yet.

   whoooow i am sory guys i have never bought anything from him but i have heard the stories! I didnt mean to steer him in the wrong direction, i just noticed that there was one on ebay and he was the seller. I will be sure not to do it again :-[

pondskimmer,

take it easy, ya don't have to apologize for suggesting a carb to me!! :p if i saw one like that and hadn't had any experience with R-------lz i woulda done the the same thing.

Kris,

i agree with you! so far it seems like that's the case, then again just about every rc boater is like that! :D [i can only think of that one exception]

Ron,

i know exactly what your talking about, good thing is we probably won't ever have to discuss it on this site 'cause there won't ever be someone like that on here for more than thier first ugly post!

hey, just because some of us have a tendency to make our boats come to a sudden stop with the help of a log or the bank doesn't mean you can make fun of us!! ;D lol

the carb still hasn't got here, i wonder if i made a type-o when i gave james my address?? hopefully though it's just taking a while.....
