Hi All,

This weekend is the last D4 race of the season - who's making it? This race was a blast last year with a much larger turn out than I believe the Badgers anticipated. The weather forecast looks perfect with temps in the low 70's.

I'll be there running B sport and B hydro.

Hi David,

Not sure if you need to be a "uper" or not in order to become a member.... They may prohibit flatlanders. Kidding - But the best way to find out would be to show up this weekend and ask one of the members. They're all very friendly and approachable people; even if they are mostly packer fans.

Can I get the address for the pond location? I heard FE's start at 8:30am, what time is the drivers meeting?

Thanks

Mike Ball

Mike, if you take Hwy 94 South and get off on the #339 exit - then take a left to go under the bridge. Go straight past the stop sign for about 100 feet and take a left into the Dirt parking lot. Can't miss it.

Hi Mike,

Ted is correct with his directions. I just checked the race flyer and there's no address listed. If you look for the top of pop up tents you can't miss it. For he last race in September they had the drivers meeting at 8:30am and the electric guys went off shortly after, probably around 8:45am.

Dean, I just wanted to note for future races that the IMPBA Website has the directions for the pond listed as: 118 Ave. Somers, Wi. for which; got me lost when I came down in early Sept. Those directions had me getting off 2-3 exits down and in the middle of the town of Somers. Just letting you guys know.

Ted.

Thanks Guys,

I will be coming from the South West Chicago Burbs. I was there a couple of years back, but couldn’t remember the address. Between the address given and the correct exit number I will get there. I just wanted something to put into the GPS to get me close.

Later,

Ball

The old frontage road is also known as 120th Avenue (running parallel to the highway), and 118th Avenue is a hundred yards or so East of that frontage road, on the East side of the highway.

There is a new frontage road to the East of the pond now, so I'm guessing the GPS's of the world will try to make you get off on a exit either North or South of the pond, but don't listen to them.

Coming from Chicago, as mentioned exit @ #339, that will bring you within sight line of the race site. There isnt much else on that corner any more except the pond and the few buidings surrounding it.

Hope this helps.
