Mike we want you to know that u have a fantastic facility and we really enjoy racing with you guys..Just seemed to be like a chain reaction..My son had a school field trip to orlando for the

weekend and larry beals had a out of town wedding, Albert was also tied up with other commitments..So all this kinda started a chain reaction along with the nitro nats next week..We are all fired

up and are in full force for some great upcoming races...Nitro guys get the boats tuned up this summer because we have some serious weapons coming out for the big show in S.C. this october..lots of pictures and video coming...here kitty kitty

Bad timing/decisions on the part of District 3 Officers/Board Members here...The Nitro Nats (a national event, they knew about in advance of setting the schedule) being held the weekend after our race...is ANYBODY from the District 3 board listening ?

I apologize to those racers whose classes won't have enough Nitro entries...unfortunately only a handfull of your fellow Nitro racers are attending that race...so this problem is not solely based on that.

Hopefully in the future, some of these people will drop their personal grievances and choose to support future races, so EVERYONE who wants to race...can race. It is only hurting your fellow Nitro racers.

Unfortunately, our race has been the lowest attended race (mostly because the lack of Nitro racers support) for the past 2 years in District 3 because of these issues...when will it end ?
Mike, Wish we were closer... GOT Nitro & Want to RACE!!!!!!!!! we are all headed to Huntsville Alabama to test NITRO!!!!

I'm really on the fence how I feel here-

I can see the issue's from both sides and see the concerns presented by both sides- and there in lies the issue. 2 sides. Lets NOT FORGET - WE are one dist. The direct pokes at the Nitro racers and some personal friends are hard to swallow- Its seems to be a misconception that its a personal deal aimed at --- to hurt attendance- In some ways I understand Mike's concerns and comments- In others I dont like the tone and general direction I see written on the wall. Its past time for everyone to put there personal feelings to one side and remember WHY you started racing in the first place. Enough is enough- The division will only kill us all- sit back and think about it- and lets put this to one side once and for all.

That said - its time for the powers that be to take control / or not - and it get settled. Because I gotta tell ya guys-

I have said it A MILLION **** TIMES- WE ALL JUST WANNA RACE/IT DONT MATTER WHAT MAKES EM GO -

PERIOD -_-

Lets take this to a trash can fire like "Deadliest Catch " and work it out elsewhere.

Flame me if you will/trash me if you want- but at the end of the day-

you know Im right. You can say this isnt the place - and your right- so Im calling out that people that need to fix this.

DO SO .

Let me know when its finger - pointing time. So now it gets aimed at nitro, no FE is offered, and the tunnel class has the 4 people I just got done racing at the tunnel champs, but there was 26 in the class there. Sounds like the gas classes can do it all by themselves, good attendance class sizes nice......

Let me enlighten you.

Life sometimes takes over and gets in the way.I owned a business for a dozen years, and I could show you significant drops in work during election years. Everyone starts to tighten the belt, not knowing which way the future is going to move.

Several years ago, the Tampa Bay area was thriving with racers. A race was posted, and they would come, in droves.

Then the walls of denial were erected, and the separation began. Went from one club, Brandon, to two with the TBMBC, which we fostered and worked together for the common good. They found a site and spread their wings. Then ecologicial events out of their control hit the lake, and it was done.

Now we cant get along.

Politics have ruined what should be the envy of the entire country, three clubs in a 40 mile circle, all premier sites, but "I dont like so-n-so, I wont go there, blahblahblah.

UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.

Mike, when this blows up, maybe it can be resurrected from the ashes. But drop the poor poor pitiful me, nobody wants to come and race. I love to race, just not 3 people.

WHERE IS WCRA? BMB will do one, we need committment from GulfCoast and TBMBC. I remember a 1 day at Riverview with 126 boats. Come in, race, go home. Not a bunch of overnight travel, just fun.

I'll bring the barrel, someone bring the Axe, and we start taking down the wall that separates us and we burn it together.

I've said too much already, this is the first year in 23 that we dont have a 1 day schedule, and its because noone will sit down together. Buncha freekin children taking their ball and going home. I volunteer enough of my time at races, too much honestly. It takes the fun right out of the experience. Some do nothing and *****. Others wont even show up.

whats the last 5 letters in commUNITY spell to you?

Aint none here in good ol Tampa Bay.

Well what ever the reasons for people not showing up,I could care less.

If there's at least two other boats and I make the third I am there with smiles. :)

As far as the WCRA goes...well the simple truth is that I presented a schedule to Brandon & Tampa for 2012 in Nov. 2011...niether would make a commitment to it...TAMPA said they had to have their club members vote on it...really !!! In the past the schedule was made and agreed on by the club presidents...so the voting thing is news to me. A far as the Brandon club...well who knows, nobody would ever call me back or aknowledge I even existed. So like I always say " actions speak louder than words, Don't tell..show me".

A far as how many people come to our race... I could care less, every penny we make goes right back into improving our race site, we offer up our facility as a 1st class race site to anyone who wants to come & enjoy some good racing and see their friends and hang out for the weekend for some fun, if their hectic lives get in the way...no problem...unfortunately, the truth of why some people won't come race...goes way deeper. I had thought that time heals...but some people carry a grudge for a really long time and the worst part is it only hurts the people who "just wanna race" at the end of the day. I keep reaching out to various people to try & unite the 3 clubs up North...but so far I have had limited success...I guess time will tell.

Me and my father will make it to the next race you put on...I know you guys put on a great race and I hate to miss a race in D 3...but we have to go up north to represent for D 3...not to many people are, thought NITRO was not DEAD...like you say talking is easy...

Look at the numbers at other races. Thy are not there. why time and money! It is just the way it is right now.

hopefully it will get better. But I think it will be a long time before we recuperate from the GREED that we all indulged in.

Hang in there Mike you built it thy will come.

David

I just wanted to clarify one thing...I actually agree with alot of what Primo is saying (except the finger pointing thing about Nitro). I am always happy to add classes to a race...my mistake for not including any FE classes...it just got by me...nobody is perfect. I am always available by phone and have no problem someone reminding me I left them out. As for the other issues, I refuse to sit back and just let things remain the same, I have kept my mouth shut for too long, I am not going to be finger pointed at as the "bad guy" in this...that is just not true, unfortunately the more I try, the more I get slammed...enough said here, I actually have no hard feeling towards anybody, I just want everyone to move forward and work together, I guess we will see.

Thats exactly what it is for me.....as much as i love this hobby, i realized that i spent way too much money....nobodys fault but mine...shoulda stuck with a coupla low cost (if there is such a thing) classes, but instead got too caught up in trying to be more competitive, and running more classes...absolutly nothing wrong with that if one has the resourses....i dont.I wish i could make every race in Fla,Ga,SC,and NC as i have so enjoyed meeting and hanging with so many great people such as yourself David......so many awesome memories....i hope i can make a few more.

Mike , exactly the reason for my statements here on a public forum - Its obviously not happening with the methods we where previously asked to use.

Its not a personal thing with anyone, everyone involved needs to know that, its for the greater good of us all- hopefully :(

Bill stop pining over a few bucks spent on a few toy boats . If you really wanted to you could sell some of your way too clean boats and recoup 80% of your money . My gas bill for 2 months is more than all your boats combined ..THAT'S SICK !!!

Bottom line is like you and others have stated TIME ...MONEY ....DRIVE . Lot's of stuff going on in everyones lives especially if you have businesses and kids ..houses boats etc . Just can't do it all . Bill you will be back in the fal Ol Buddy . Off to work ..later !

I would like to thank all the racers that attended our race...it was some great racing and fun times. I would also like to thank all of our club members for all the hard work and the racers that stepped up and helped out too, it all makes for a much better experience for everyone.

I also want to thank Randy Primo, he is a guy that gives alot to this hobby by being the "traveling CD" and asks for nothing in return, he deserves all of our respect and appreciation for a tough job that he does very well.

Congratulations to Bert Arencibia...the 2012 Gas Cat Shootout Top Gun winner.

Also, the scores will not be available until Bill B. get's back in town, as we had a glitch uploading them...so be patient and we will get them posted as soon as possible.
