NASCAR says they are running tonight.. 7PM Live...

So instead of a night race last night, we have one tonight.

Do they even have a cold track set up for these cars? Hmmmmm this be an historical event. Last car running wins !

O YEA the sparks and flames will be flying in the dark. NASCAR should do a mandatory break at 25 or 40 from teams to wrench on there cars with the cold track. Might even tape this one, gonna be fun.

Yup! Not near as warm as the night race in July... According to the local media on site in Daytona It seems that NASCAR officials are babysitting the cars today.. no one is allowed to touch anything, only warm an engine in the presence of a NASCAR official that is it.

Yes they should bring them all in and let them wrench a bit. It would be safer too.

Observations while the race is under a red flag:

Love her or hate her, the girl can drive and she's proven it all weekend.

Kudo's to MTJ for getting a $200,000 bonus for leading at the half-way point. Big boo's to his owner though for cheering on Denny Hamlin and wanting to think that he should win. Lotza confidence in your own team Bozo!

Now; call the race because the asphalt is bad because of the fire, end it because of rain coming or finish the race?
