The Southern Ontario Model Boat Club proudly presents the 2016 Dashwheel Sprint August 21, with open water and fun run heats on Saturday August 20th
All race entries received and paid before August 1st will receive a free ticket for our raffle that includes several great prizes including a Zippkits Pro Vee kit with full hardware package provided by Joe Petro, a Tiger King 26cc engine provided by Bruce Lykins and Gizmomotors, assorted hardware from Top Fuel Products and much more .
All drivers will receive a free lunch from the Dashwheel Diner, additionally food will be available for purchase.
Saturday August 20 will feature open water alternating with (3) rounds of Fun Run style racing. Fun Run Classes are flexible depending on registration ($5.00 per Driver).
$20.00 first boat, $10.00 each additional. Late registration fee of 10.00 per driver for all entries after August 1st
Go-Live cut-off is August 12 by this date there must be (5) paid registered boats to run the class. We will accept walk up registrations for live classes up until the day before the race.
Electric – Gas – Nitro classes offered

Digital clock and 5 buoy turns will be used
Open Mono includes any IMPBA legal mono hull power can be Electric, Nitro or Gas. IMPBA maximum displacement rules apply.
Open Hydro includes any IMPBA legal Rigger, Cat, or Sport Hydro, hull power can be Electric, Nitro or Gas. IMPBA maximum displacement rules apply.
1/8 Scale will be run as per D-2 1/8 scale rules
Heat size will be maximized
Open water begins after setup until 5 pm. Organized Fun Run heat races start after 1pm alternating every 30 minutes between controlled open water and heats.
Racing begins Sunday morning at 8:30 am drivers meeting at 8:15.
Park gate closes at 6 pm Saturday to drive in traffic, as per Municipality regulations.
Alcohol is prohibited in the park as per Provincial law.
