D4 Sport 20/40 Memorial Race July 9 - 10

Get your entries in on RC Events. July1 deadline for Trophy (Mugs) Classes.

Five heats over two days. Points race for 1/8 scale and gas classes.

This is a new venue for the Badger Club. One two day race with five heats instead of the old two separate races over the two days. Main goal was to keep your overall entry fees down.

You're not wrong about that... Every squirrel finds a nut from time to time. Tested this weekend with positive results. Finally ironed out the gremlins with my B tunnel.

First 3 Rounds will count for Season Points ONLY

Also, classes with 3 or 4 boats will get first place awards only. Five or more, awards go to top 3. This cutoff is July 1st.

Race entry cutoff is July 5th (to make a class).

But remember, you can walk in on race day to an existing class, just in case.

We do appreciate pre-registration.

SWEET! If you haven't been to this pond before, it's a great tunnel site. A full class of boats makes for some tight quarters - should be fun! Looking forward to seeing you in a couple weeks. You bringing any of the other Iowa boys?

I just checked our race entries and found some great news. We now have 7 boats registered for 1/8 scale, We will have a scale final for the first time in a long time at the Badgers.

First Three rounds will count towards season high points. (qualification heats)

Top three after three rounds will qualify for scale final (Round 5)

Fourth round, Next four in points will race in a consolation race and winner gets fourth spot in scale final.

Overall place determined by Scale Final position. (Not points from first 3 heats)

Looks good on paper. Hope it works out.

FYI - Some of us are planning to hang out at the pond on Friday night for dinner, snacks and drinks. Bring a small dish to pass or your own food and your own drinks. Very informal. We can fire up the grill for anyone wanting to cook.

Saturday night will probably be prime rib at the Dover Inn.

This may be the beginning of a new tradition. Get in on it!
