Current draw on Graupner 8.4v 700 bb

Does any one know how much current a Graupner 8.4v 700 bb motor on 12 cells would draw ? Im trying to size up a suitable reversing speed control for my 1939 Century Thunderbolt. Any info would be help full.

Hi Riggerman,

A 700BB will pull about 35/40 amps in race trim.
