just got a crikit 3 decal machine, where can i get some good quality rolls of material for stickers?, something that holds up to the abuse of rc boats. tried doing a search but came up with nothing on iw

Oracal 751 is a very good one. I think it made by the same company that makes Oracoat covering material that we use on rc planes. If you check locally you may find a supplier that will sell you short pieces to try before committing to a complete roll.

Oracal is the gold standard, 751 for 7 years of outdoor durability and 651 for 6 years of outdoor durability.
both are fuel resistant but should be under clear coat for max durability.
remember the outdoor durability is for continous outdoor use.

The best stuff I’ve used is the Cricut Smart Vinyl. Pricey but it holds up better than any other I’ve tried

i have used this material from my local hobby shop, they sell it about 4'' wide and about 3 ft long, this held up well but did not clear over it. will have to link my computer into the cutter and start experimenting. thanks everyone

Oracoat=Ultracoat airplane covering is not the same as their sign vinyl from what I’ve used. The 751 is what I would go with if you can get it.

I have had any “bad” luck with any vinyl, Amazon definitely do your research. I’ve bought some that was so thin it ripped and some so thick I couldn’t make it bend around the boats curves properly.
Oracal is great, personally have liked using the Cricut premium vinyl the best. Make sure your surface is clean! Number one step to follow or you will not have any luck no matter the vinyl.

JoAnns, Hobby Lobby, Michaels all carry the vinyl sheets for cutters. Experiment with your machine. Any of the vinyls I have used have worked fine. Be mindful that there are several grades and types of vinyl. Use “permanent” not the repositionable type.
