well, due to some misunderstandings, this boat is back up for sale. it's a .40 wood very "scale" crackerbox. the engine is hand carved wood, very detailed driver & rider. appears to be from plans, not a kit, but really not sure. all octura hardware & mount. rails on 5" center. prather 225 prop. k&b .40 engine. 12 oz. sullivan tank. auto bailers installed. 37 1/2" long & 13 1/2" wide. i pulled the head, piston & cyl. look great. still enough pinch left for the piston to push the cyl. up in the case! bearings feel smooth. flushed it with wd-40, lubed it & reassembled. stuck in a fresh glo plug, some 30% in a clean tank, & it fired right up. sounded good, ran smoothly. has very old airtronics 94102 servos on plastic aileron horns for mounts . don't think i'd trust the servos or mounts. also will need to extend the ex. out through the transom, a peice of hose will take care of that. the screws to mount the rudder blade to the hinge are missing, someone has twisted wire in there, easy fix, imho. paint on the deck isn't great, some peeling, & rubber bands left to stick on it. the dark around the shaft on the bottom is epoxy, kinda looks like silicone in the pic. still a solid, fun boat for the pond. asking $80 + shipping. give me your addy & i can get a shipping quote.
