Took out the CMB 90 from my Gen 1 Insane Mono this winter and plugged in twin T-600 outrunners for power.

Here are a few pics of the end result.

The boat runs faster and is more stable than when it had the CMB90 in it.

(that's a little micro camera taped to the bow.)

Carlnoki where did you get the motor mounts for the t600's . Did the mounts accomodate the motors without modification?

This looks just too cool. I have an old mono that I just destroyed the engine in so I decided to go electric.

I have so many questions I am not sure where to start.

Can you tell me who you talked to get everything put together and working?

Thanks so much.

Pat

the mounts I got from EITHER offshoreelectrics.com (the ones for the 540 size motors) or you can get them from fightercat57.

http://fightercatracing.com

had to widen the screw slots just a bit to accomidate the 4mm motor screws is all.

Ben at http://fightercat57.freeforums.org/index.php is a wealth of knowledge.

the forum is free and I am the moderator for the whole forum.

just join up and I will get an e-mail requesting your membership and get you in.

there are other folks there that are great to chat with.

converting a nitro mono is not that hard, just have to think things out for where you put things is all.
