Last race at Lake Minden, near Sacramento Ca., Jim Wilson completely shatters the NAMBA Sport 21 record by setting a 1:22.26 on the NAMBA 6 lap course. This time is even faster than the current season District 9 record for Sport 40II. Jim was running a Ray Pellerino designed and built boat and a Wilson groomed Mac 21. Note: the strut was under the hull. Yours truly doing the calling, Rudy.

I can personal attest to the Mr. Wilson's sport 20 boat.

VEREY IMPERSIVE!!

Did the tech on the boat for the last record he set with that boat and I mean to tell you it is a sweet ride.

Jim,

Let's see a 1:20 buddy. :)

HOW DOES ONE GET A HULL/BOAT LIKE JIM WILSONS ????? :huh

The boat is made of wood, scratch built by Ray Pellerino. I laid up the cowling and the mold for the cowling from Ray's plug. Boat may not be legal in IMPBA. Bob Tuttle's boats used to kick butt until Ray and Jim got thier boats really going. I believe Tuttle's boats are doing very well in SoCal. I believe Tuttle's boats are IMPBA legal.

Rudy were those pictures of the Sacramento race?

I saw several supersport45 in the pictures

I saw Burkards Pak boat too, nice looking

Roger Hooks's pictures at Lake Minden, 20 miles north of Sacramento, it is a larger lake (in model boating perspective), uncommonly wonderful weather conditions.

SS45's are probably the most popular in our district, #1 and #2 in points, Allen Terry's MAC 45 powered SS45 won the 2005 Nats! All the Mutt boats and Mutt replicas haven't been running lately. A few scratch builts, a few AC's and a few Doug DeWitte's boats. We are down on entries lately in SP40II.

Glenn Burkhard is an avid scale racer, I don't know if he built that boat or not, Roger Hooks used to have a boat like it, he raced it for years and it was showing it's age. Don't know if Glenn's is a repaint or built new. Maybe Glenn will pop in here.

 :) :D Congrats to Jim Wilson Look good style shape hull with MAC21 pretty fast. from Allan Namba 16

My Pay N' Pak is an all new scratch built hull. I guess I should update my boat on the D-9 hull roster. Been busy photographing other peoples boats but never seem to get any of my own.

I'm always amazed at the rpm's Jim W. is able to get out of his Mac 21's......his boats are fast!

I'm with you on that Glenn.....never seem to get any pics since I'm always trying to take pics. I'll update your boat on the scale register asap. My Exide finally made it into a couple of pics as well. Of course actually getting a pic of it running has been difficult this year.

That Sport 21 hull of Ray's is fast...Alfred put hut Mutt 45 boat away in favor of running a 45 version of Ray's 21 hull and that one was fast too. Problem is Alfred tangled with Alan Terry with a Phil Thomas boat and Alan survived while Alfred's was cracked in half and was in the can later than day.

Man that sucks! :(

Alfred's new 40 boat from Ray was nice.
