Hi all. Maybe a dumb question, but here it goes. What is the purpose of the allen key nut on the collet (See attached Photo)

I am kind of new to RC boating, but I have only seen those on FE collets...I am sure other more experienced folks will chime in on it...

I have seen them on some gas boats and the RTRs when they first came out

The Allen Head set screw is to tighten the collet to the motor shaft . These are used for electric motors and the one pictured is an Octura.
