MANY THANKS to all that supported our race. The friendships continued and built through this race are truly exceptional. The property owners and the CMB club literally threw out the red carpet for all of the racers. That is a tradition for the CMB club and we strive to exceed each race what we have done previously.

The Oct 2008 race will be known as the FALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. There is NO present race in the entire southeast or mid-altantic region that has a fall national level race so the CMB club has stepped up to do it. Just like the tradition we have accomplished with the WORLD TUNNEL CHAMPIONSHIPS (March 29th & 30th, 2008) as the premier tunnel race in the world, we intend on doing the same for the FALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. The racing facility is among the best anywhere. Dates for the race are tentatively October 11th & 12th, the Columbus Holiday weekend, which are the traditional dates for the Charleston race for over 15 years. Put it on your long term racing calendar for 2008.

Glad everything went well. Wish I could make it but work comes first sometimes. I see Mic has thrown down the challenge by winning the Mod-VP class with a new boat. I can see right now that we are going to have fun with this "boat battle". Already working on the new one bud so bring your best to the tunnel race. :p I see the Godfather and his no. 2 man did well. Guess there is no zoo nearby to distract them.

Mark,

I thought I had to drive my a$$ off to get out of there with a Mod V win. Wish you could have competed also. Looking forward to the March Champs and Jay will also have a new hull in Mod V by then as we are really outnumbered. Maybe someone else can modify a old Vee also and add to the "battle". Had fun driving and I know Darrel, John and the boys won't let us off easy next time. Will bring gel-coat and polyester with for some rubin and racin.

Mic

P.S.

Many thanks to CMB for a great race and one of the best race sites in the country. I was in fun giving Charlie (the owner of the property) some crap about not being able to get satelite signal becuse of the tall trees and he said hed have em cut down by March when we come back. Realy great guy. Bring on the World Tunnels!!!!!!!!! One MUST race.
