CMB OB Powerhead or Rossi?

Someone said that a CMB IS JUNK, Unless you know a good machinest. IS THIS TRUE???

and would like to know if the Nova rossi motors fit on the K&B Lower?

I have a CMB and love the way it runs and the power, but am looking for another and if theres bad things about them, I want to know about them.

I'd sure like to tell you that they have been great. We all know that we need .21 engines of somekind. The trouble we have seen from them is that the wrist pin end of the rod has no bushing. After a short time it will develop a lot of slop. We have seen up to .014. The pto leaks from the start. We have had a few of the cranks break off the pin where it connects to the pto. Tim at Precision Boats can fix all of this and has to about 40 to 50 engines but this kind of stuff should be done by the factory when it's made.

We need good motors from some manafacture out of the box, soon!

Mark spoke the truth about the CMB's but I believe after they are fixed they run ok. No Rossi .21's in the country right now new unless you want to convert a Priana Rossi. Chex that spelling probably wrong. Nova Rossi on the way real soon. Not sure about the CMB's. The Nova Rossi will fit on any 3.5 lower unit. But the NR has to have a crank an Pto built to run on a outboard foot. Let me know if I can helpout.

Is this problem just with the OB CMB Or INBOARDS TOO? I have the .21 inboard, gold head, Havent done anything to it.

What are the HP specs of the rossi?

And what is the BEST motor to put on the K&B 3.5 Foot? What rossi motor i mean, what name or model best for SPORT Boat running, going on a tunnel.

The green head CMB has the same problem as the OB CMB. I like the Rossi or Nova Rossi for the O.B. foot.
