anyone running cmb 80's. how are they going, what kind of speeds are they doing. ..what pipes, head clerances are u guy's running, pipe lengths and props in a outrigger ;) :p :D  ;)

Aaron,

Propellers should be 2416,2516,2518,H-32,H-38,2616 all with pitch or cup added,

to work in the powerband of the setup. The only problem with the 1.8 pitch ratio

is that it may take awhile to slow the boat down.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Tracy Dolphin's got a pair in his Eagle SGX twin & runnin' in the low 80's. New boat he's still getting dialed in ...........

Don,

Tracy is trying a set of H-48's today, so I hope he is in the high 80's  .

Next up will be a set of 2516's to get into the 90's    . It can be done.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

yeh i'm going to run twin 80's insteed of twin 67's, everyone says that's the way to go. tub is about 90% built already. hope to have it racing at N.S.W champs in August.

You don't waste any time there Aaron!!!

I think Steve Gruber runs 2 x CMB80 greenheads in his twin and it is fast.

Look forward to seeing it race in August - are you building another 67 rigger too? I enjoy racing you and Brett in 67 rigger - good racing B)

I hope to have an X hydro ready by then too B)

Tim.

im going to run cmb 80's also, should be pretty balistic boat wont way much more then 10 pounds. for the time just gonna repair the 67 will build a new one very soon. :D :D :D

Aaron,

Are you sure that's right, 10 lbs? My 90 Sprint is only a little bit lighter than that with one engine and I didnt think it was too heavy!!

Make sure you make it strong enough for heat racing in rough water!! Those twins dont make it easy... B)

Nitrocrazed racing: 9.5 lb 'fat' Sprint...

Fiberboats are usually more heavy than wood boats.

A sprint 90 weighting 9,5 is good but for a twin rigger 10 is ok!

My old twin cat with a pair of P90 Hydro weights 12 and runs great too!
