Hello guy's,

Still throwing around the idea of building a 20 size mono (either a Seaducer or a Cal-craft hull) and was wondering if the three engines which is the better motor for the money? Looking for reliability more so than performance. Performance is nice, but is it don't run, who cares how fast she is...

The green head Valvola (rear exhaust very similar to the MAC)

The 2005 model LS.21 (green head w/ black case that requires the 180 deg wrap around header)

or the 2006 model RS.21 (red head)

I found all three motors for very good prices but am not sure which of the three is the motor to have.

If it was based on price, the LS green head would win, but I was told the motor has been discontinued so the parts will soon start to vanish.

Thanks

Dave

I think the red cmb rs 21 will be an engine to be realiable and good speed.

but if you can aford a nova this would be my choice

Hi Guys,

I've been attempting to get a Nova Rossi through Rossi Sales since Christmas. When I originally spoke with the guy that runs the show, he said the motors were on there way in from Italy. Then I checked back with him a couple weeks later and he said they were stuck in US Customs.

I've had the owner of the local hobby shop checking on this quiet often and she has not had any luck. Either no call back, no answer, or has been told the motors were still stuck in Customs.

Maybe someone else has the lucky horse shoe???

Just my .02 cents

Dean, I am not getting on you but Mr. Bill who runs rossi sales has been very ill. He has guys going help him to fill his orders and ship them.

I bought some Novas from him before and the same thing happen. It took almost 6 months for me to get those Novas. Mr. Bill is and excellent guy. If he said they are on the way they are. Those motors are sure worth the wait though.

The CMB Valvola 21 is an excellent engine. Mine have been totally reliable and are super performers. And the rear exhaust is much easier.

A friend of mine receive his Nova LS on the 7 of April from Bill. Bill had just got them in that week. I would give him a call and find out instead of bashing a guy that has no control over when they show up.
