Hi All,
Have any of you used the starter in the below attachment? It's distributed through a Chinese company that I found on Ebay and I haven't been able to find the actual manufacture of the starter.

If you have experience with the starter, is it of decent quality? They have one particular model for $68 + shipping and I'm tempted to pick one up if it's worth it. The largest motor I'd be using it on is a 45.

Thanks for your feedback.

i have one works great so far starts any size nitro motor on 2s or 3s

I just got one of the starters, and have a 4s 5000mah 35c battery for it. It has a lot of torque with it. Haven't had a chance to start anything yet, will use it in a couple of weeks.

Sammy, quick question, I thought the starter was built for 4S - have you tried it on 4 cells?
Have not tried 4s... 2s spins 20 & 40 easy 3s on the 60-101s... I'm not a huge fan of spinning my motors super fast on start up.
I'm with Sam on this. I have not used the Chinese version but have a Boris on 3s. More then good enough on 91,101 or gas motors.

Dean, your descripted starter is not made by TFL and it made by another Chinese manufacturer.

I am some of this starter and it accepted 3S lipo battery for power and great for both of nitro and

gasoline.

I can offer an same price plus shipping to US anywhere.

Thanks!

Fellas,

Why not buy a Boris Mazor starter, his even come with a Satisfaction Guarantee, dont think you get that kind of guarantee from China, just my 2 cents.

Thanks, Beau! This starter was posted on IW a few month ago. It uses a similar ATV starter motor direct operated by push baton switch not rated more 70A. (Please correct me if more). I'll not recommend using these starters with 4S battery. In my starters, I use a solenoid for run the motor current (~150-180 A) and it saves button from destroying by an arc.

Thanks all for your feedback.

I've seen and used a Boris starter in the past and they're very well made pieces of equipment, and certainly worth their cost. I was just looking to see if someone had experience using the starter in the original post as it's a more economical option, albeit at perhaps a lesser quality than a Boris starter.

My thumbs up for Boris starter, it works great on all my gasoline boats with 4S, each and every time.

A fellow boater was using the Chinese made starter a while ago, and he went back to the 12V Sullivan starter after less than ten time's use on the field.

I have one of the Chinese starters and I have tried the 4S battery and honestly it spins the motor way too fast. I would stay with the 3S. It is a very quality starter. With that said I also support buying American and from our own. If I had to do it again I would by one from Boris.

I own 2 of the Boris. Terrific products and service. 3S is plenty on the Boris also.

i have an older one i bought off eBay from china. starts gas and nitro engines. 3 and 4s is KILLER ,2 -3 would suffice .
