You guys talk about this tape like it's some kind of dope. If your radio box is built right, one roll can last for a long time. I have taped up my boxes with lexan covers and ran all season. Pulled plug to charge batteries. Remy has this tape since the early 90's. Over the fifteen years I have been racing, I think I have bought maybe 5 rolls. Water tight box end of story. Speed secret Andy!!!!!! :blink: :blink: :blink:

That's fine if you can stand the ugly ass rubber plug in your radio box lid ... I can't. But even with 5 riggers & 2 scales I still only use about 2 rolls a season.

I cant count how many times boaters have lost control due too wet radio boxes, and the CD lets them run again WITHOUT A RADIO CHECK AS PER IMPBA RULES and some poor guy gets his or her boat destroyed. And they don't even have the balls too say sorry. As for the ugly ass plug, after each heat I can see if I do have any water in control box, so I don't use it as an excuse that I ran somebody over. If I make a F##K up I talk to the other boater and not make excuses. Water tight radio box MAJOR SPEED SECRET. Ray B) B) B) B)

Ray do you remember a guy who used to be in the D.C. club nicknamed "Wild Bill"? Remember his "water cooled" radio box?

There is NO substitiute for a dry radio box. B)
