Carbon Fiber Tube/Rod for Canard Section

Hey All,

I'm preparing to work on the canard section on a few 1/8th scale projects. Carbon fiber tubes/rods seem to be the preferred material of choice vs metal tube as in the Dumas Circus kit. A few questions...

1). Should this be a CF Tube (hollow) or Rod (solid).

2). Where is the best place to purchase it. Ebay has a bunch but most are out of country. I've also heard of kite shops but I imagine it may be cheaper online.

You can use the hollow tube. Arrow shafts work well. Most sporting good stores carry them. Kite shops also carry the CF tube.
