Thanks for the nice words guys! Brian, this one turned out heavier than any 21 SAW I have ever built...finished RTR is 2lb 14oz.

They are about 6 ounces heavier than the 5- port aren't they?

Mark, yes the DD motors are heavier. I don't know if it is 6 oz, but it is a bit. I think most of the extra weight of this boat is due to the motor, but some is due to the carbon tub...it is just heavier than one I would build up. CRAZY strong though!!!!

Nick, yes they are. I would only recommend that for small swoopy sponsons...I think normal full size heat race sponsons would turn out heavier than they would need to be.
