I've run a carbon 3280 and a square wave pipe in monos before. I've never experienced any delamination of the pipes. Can't speak for any of the SPP pipes.
I do feel the carbon pipes are more "heat" sensitive and that sensitivity gets multiplied while running in the confines of a mono.
As the maker of the square wave pipes, i would not recommend running in an enclosed mono. My pipes are cured for 8 hours at 425°, so they ate about as hard as any epoxy chemistry can give.
I've been running a carbon squarewave pipe in my mono since 2011 and it works great. The motor is so low in the hull it's mostly blocked from any air passing over it too. It gets toasty but its held up great.
No problems with any of the carbon pipes I have run. Besides Jon's pipes, Brian Buass is also using a very high temp epoxy which holds up extremely well.
