guys,

Working on my sp40,.. what is the min clearance from the carb to the front radio box? How much space is needed to make good airflow to the carb? Will 1/2 inch work?

here are some pics,.. a couple of the SP21 coming along also.

might be kinda tight for a .45, anthony. although i don't think i have much more than that (if any) in my .21 jae. hard to measure with the cowl on with a fr. intake engine :p ...

My GP- 400 has 0.50 inch Between the radio box wall and the carb on my VAC 45. You could always have Al send you the the slant induction for the AA. Remember it started with the HR motor.

You might want to mount a baffle plate to the radio box under the carb to keep water from the bottom of the boat running up the side of the box when you slow down and getting into the carb.
