All depends on you and the mod package in the motor...............There is no ideal size. Stk is good...all the way to .065. Ask the engine builder what he recommends.

Depend on timing exhust port liner

Ok...Dick, so I have the numbering wrong. Point is .490 to .650 will work. It will come down to pipe and motor work....

Don't forget the spray bar. It also needs to be made bigger depending on boar size.

A stock carb can only be board to .550

Steve wood is the man for this.

Don't ask how big mine is thy will only laugh and tell you it dose not work.

What's it come with? 13mm?

Been running 14mm CMB carb (.550) on my VAC91 with no problem, I do use big fuel lines with shorts runs. Really like the new CMB carbs with the low speed needle, really helps the idle and transition.

Terry,

Where did you get the 14 mm carb. Did the VAC 91 come with it? My 101 came with a 0.510 bore (13 mm).

the HR.91 has a .550 barrel in it and all the VAC.91 I have seen the body is made for a .550 barrel. thy just come with the .510

If you can find a HR carb the .550 barrel will drop right in..

They made a few with the 14mm barrel, got these from a bud.

Think Steve Wood is set up to grind the 13mm barrel out to match the 14mm carb body if you can't find originals.
