Can you make a Sport 40 w/a .67 engine do 80mph?

Saw this on e-bay and he said he clocked it at 80 mph.............I had one of these hulls and could not get mine to run really really fast using a modified Picco .45 so I'm curious how hard a .67/.80 could really push this.

Also, Aeromarine has a huge radio box, why'd he put the 1/4 scale servo and mount it into the rails and run a 2-56 rod like that?

I'm not trying to slam this guys auction just curious about the boat.

radar gun was accurate said the officer who pulled them over for 80 in a 55. The boat in the back of the truck. :unsure: :blink:

No way in hell that hull is capable of doing 80 unless it's in the trunk of a car haulin' down the interstate. <_<
