I got this rigger from a fellow boater and i have no clue who makes it or what brand it is. Im trying to find out cause id like to be able to find parts for it. So let me know what .45 hull this is thanks. It has carbon fiber sides and carbon fiber ride pads and rear plates on the front sponsons and fully carbon fiber rear shoes and billet pins made for the front sponsons if that helps any.

thanks.

my guess is it is a scratch built.. similar to a crapshooter but not.. i know of people that make clones but they don't use carbon fiber.

what parts are you in need of?

Hi Tom Look like Hummingbird 21 or UFO 21 but you tell me measure of lenght and wide on you tub

Length is 30 1/2 in by 3 3/8 in wide. The boom spacing is 5 5/16 in. Front sponsons lengths are 13 3/4 in.

Could be a hull built by Bill Gomillion.....................Diamond Back????

No because his sponsons aren't the same as these. Does any outrigger builder use billet pins for the front sponsons??? Because thats what this came with.

There are a bunch of rigger builders that use bar stock for front sponson pins.

I don't know what your rigger is but can will say that isn't a Hummingbird only because it isn't like the one that I had and it doesn't look like any that I've seen.

This is definitely not a Hummingbird as Jim Benn's built them as a carbon fiber version of the Roadrunner. I ahd 2 of Billy Gomillion's 21 Diamondbacks and he did not use any CF on the sponsons or hull. He did a few 45's and the ones I saw also did not either.

I know of one builder that did use CF for the tub sides & bottoms and the sponson bottoms. That was Mike Coppolino, from Canada, and his was named the Predator. It was like the Roadrunner. But I know he was working on a Crapshooter clone and it may be that this is one and it was by another name than the Predator. He is now in hiding.

that is NOT mikes build

well dam. I wish i could just find a name for this thing lol. I love the work of whoever built it. The guy i got it from was sent it to finish because the guy who owned it didn't know how to build a outrigger or set it up and well 2 years later and after several messages left and no return call so he sent it to me and now im trying figure out what it is so i can incorprate its name into the paint scheme and to get some more info on the hull. Well hopefully someone can come up with a name of what it is.

Buckshot im with u, I've never seen a rigger ever built like this. The only boat that ive seen that looked simular to this is one is Steeve Winks first g3 and Alan Terry Owns that boat now.

Tom,

It looks like a copy of a carbon Ninja 21 boat.

I will look back in some old notes and see if

I wrote down the builders name? An H-5 and a

35+ should get it on the water fast.

But mark im having the problem with the boat. It no way can be a .21 because the front sponsons are every bit as big and my roadrunner .45's. So im under the impression that this is a crapshooter .45 clone. So now to find a set up sheet lol.

Tom,

Way to short for a 45. Most 21's are around 30" long.

With a 45 in it good luck keeping it on the water at 85+ MPH.

I think someone took a Ninja 21 tub and copied 45 Crapshooter sponsons.

A Nova Rossi 28 would be a great set up with that hull. I am sure my 28 Nova

would stay with most of the 45's out their now in that hull. The real problem with

too short of length is the boat will not handle the rough race water with other 45's.

If you two lap oval that set up you would probably be pretty close to a record with

A new Nova 46 in it.

Good Luck Tom,

Mark Sholund

Mark i sent the tub next to my road runner .45 and its literally my pinkie with shorter. So i think ill be setting thisup as a 45 but running a longer strut to match up the missing length. Its gonna be fun to build this boat and see if i can go steal Alan Terry's record :D .

Will do mark. I think ive got the prop for the set up thats going in it but i also haven't looked at my prop box in awhile lol
