It's been a while but with our planning meeting out of the way and a date set, let's get ready to have some serious fun!
The Can Am R/C Boat Club is happy to announce that it will be hosting it's race again in Celina. For those of you who attended last years race, you'll remember all of those nice new motors that went home with the winners of each class. We are pleased to announce that again this year, the winners of each class will be receiving a new motor of that class. The exception to this is the Unlimited and RTR classes. The winner of these classes will receive a flat screen tv!
There was some question about the date and we as a club decided to stick with the July 16 & 17th. It is going to be a busy weekend in Celina as this is the weekend that Tony Stewart and his NASCAR buddies will be at Eldora Raceway for the Kings Royal Race. Hotels are almost booked but we have reserved a bank of 20 rooms in nearby Wapakoneta at a reduced rate. We also have a BBQ dinner for Saturday night after racing and as always, our good friends at the hospice in Celina will be on hand with snacks, burgers, dogs, refreshments and so forth. Oh ya, got to mention those homemade cinnamon buns they had! Delicious!
Anyway, for those of you who were there, we hope to see you again and for those of you who weren't there, you should have been. It is one good time!
