Making a purchase online can be a scary experience. Especially if it is from a new merchant. Here some tips on how to make your internet purchasing experience safer and more enjoyable.
1. Know the reputation of the merchant. Is it a reputable business? Can you find any complaints online? If it is a new or small business do you know the owners? Do they have any history of experience with the industry or product? Do they have a reputation of trustworthiness?
2. Check to see if the payment process is secure? (ie. Google Checkout, Checkpoint or Paypal?)
3. Check to see they have a phone number or physical address that they can be directly contacted if you have any problems?
4. Check to see if they have a return policy that is clearly stated so that you may return items that you might receive that are damaged, incorrect or incomplete?
These are just a few tips to help make your online purchasing experience a safe one. For more information on how to protect yourself when making purchases online visit MS NBC Today
