James, stand looks good, if you want to get fancy you can hit it with some Krylon spray bombs for color. Do yourself a favor and get some 1/8" x 1/4" long aluminum button head pop rivets and put one at each connection for a little added insurance. Even when using the correct PVC glue sometimes the joints can pop loose and will do so at the most inopportune times. Ask me how I know.......

James,

Not to disagree with Don, but solvent based PVC glue (I use Oatey, what the plumbers use), properly applied, will NEVER let go. EVER. When it sets up (about 15 seconds or so) the pipe and fitting are one part, permanently joined. Never to be parted. That's how it works. The solvent dissolves the base materials and when it congeals, the seam between the parts is no more. Just make sure you dry-fit the whole assembly before you open the primer and glue.

Thanks. Brad.
