I am finally finishing my two SGX Eagles. They are both setup and ready for paint. They are identical with the exception of one will be running the AA45 and the other will be running the new Nova Rossi DD46. I am pretty excited to see how the perform side by side.

I have a couple of questions for you Eagle gurus out there.

1) What is the optimal CG of the boat?

2) Is there a good starting point for angle of attack on the sponsons?

3) Is the 3" recomended rudder depth still good?

I appreciate your help and comments.

Dave

Bolt it in and go , the boat was designed properly and minute adjustments MAY have to be made to the strut and a possible MICRO adjustment to the booms but i doubt it . What is it that you want to change ?

I am really starting to wonder about the CG. Nobody can seem to give me that number.
HA! I don't know either David! LOL Really! I have never checked it until recently....and it was about 50% of the total length of the hull. It's not critacal so don't worry about it. You can't build the that far off unless you use maybe a 7 amp lead battery to power the reciever LOL.

Set the right sponson bottom @ 3.0 degrees and the left @ 2.75 degrees and you'll be go to go. Set the strut @ 1.5 degree negetive. The top of the tub should be level or a little high at the transom.

Those details I just gave are WAYYYY more important than CG.
