Brutal day today with massive carnage to exterior hardware in several classes !! Larry Beals "Windowed "an EXR 80 in his twin ..rod is a tinker toy in size compared to current stuff . hope he's back tomorrow with new bullets !! Still thrashing !!

Sounds like my race in Brandon in Nov past. I had every gremlin that you can think of in my trailer somehow. Wonder who put them in there! Andy called me and filled me in his travails, his day was not pretty either. However, there is always tomorrow.

What can I say,

I let us down on Sat, BUT....

we made it a little less painful on Sunday with a decent showing (1st and a 3rd) for the HTV boys

and brought us home 3rd place wood in B-Mod OPC overall in my very first tunnel race :blink:

(dont say it too loud- but we beat Otto too) wink

8 Boat Tunnel heats are awesome btw

CANT WAIT for the STORM series .....

But we are gonna have to get WINDEX MAN (aka Bill Gibson)

To put "the can" on the boat Nub gave him so I can school him in Super Stock 40 :blink:

WOW! What a wierd, wacky, AWESOME weekend! Brandon club, you guys and gals are SOMETHIN ELSE! "GO FAST" Thanks again for keepin me from screwin up too much! :lol: Joe Wiebelhaus and Marty Davis, THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH for transforming my scale hydro from an absolute nightmare to a potentially competitive race boat! Marty, i am absolutly AMAZED at what a simple prop change and a small strut adjustment did for that boat! Now if i can just LEARN HOW TO DRIVE IT! Joe......PICCO POWER BABY!YEA! Andy....YOUR A TRIP! :lol: What a GREAT TIME!.....IM SO TIRED!!!!!! Curtis, it was good ta meet ya....ill try to get a little a little more boat speed in RTR for ya next time...you made it look too easy when ya whooped me! :lol: Good job man!

Thanks for the good comments, etc. Andy, we appreciate your efforts with the Tampa Model Boat club RRB (Rocket Retreive Boat). Congrats on cracking the top three in X mono and B Tunnel. Tom, sorry about your bad luck but I know you'll be back.

74?? OK, sometimes I feel like I should be 74!

I will say a big "Thank You" to all racers who participated in this event. The sportsmanship displayed was second to none. I can't recall a single argument or raised voice over a disputed call the entire weekend. Thanks to Larry Beals and John Otto for doing the yeoman's share of CD'ing for the weekend. Dan Hutchinson and Andy kept the retreive boats moving.

The positive comments I recieved from the racers during the event tells me that our club is doing something right.

Brandon Model Boaters club members, I especially want to say that I feel that I received the most help and support for this race that I have ever seen as president of the club.

THANK YOU!! Let's keep it rolling.
