I am starting this topic to inform contestants of how the race is shaping up. To date, entries stand at 188 with 126 of those paid. Payments received with postmark later than August 10 (late entry date) will be charged the late entry fee. There are going to be no exceptions to this. It has been posted from the start.

The following classes are closed for entries, for now. If I start getting a waiting list for a closed class, I will start bumping out those who have not paid for those that will. If you want to get on a waiting list for a closed class, shoot me an e-mail with your entry info. If a position is available, I will contact you for payment via paypal, no mail in will be taken for waiting list entries.

Closed classes: A Mod Tunnel, B Hydro, B Mod Tunnel, B Mono, X Hydro, Classic Thunderboat, Twin Engine Rigger. Several other classes are very close to being closed as well.

Heats stand at 145, not counting any runoffs.

Other than the Winternats, this is the largest race of the year in District 3. Thanks to all who have submitted their PAID entries.

Robert,

What are you referring to?? Closed classes are closed unless someone drops and a spot becomes available (B Mono). Also, as stated, I will bump an unpaid entry for anyone wanting to enter a closed class and pays via Paypal.

Looks like some closed classes were opened up again????

Robert,

Within the program, code was rewritten this morning to show classes for attendance purposes, the identified classes are officially closed as referenced from Don's previous post.

Randy

Don - Mary and my payment for entries are on the way. Can't wait!

Any way the classes that are closed can come up with a notation that those classes are filled up?

Thanks for the update, Ron.

Right now, the closed classes have been removed from the entry grid. As far as the "View Attendees" page, the classes were disappearing when I removed them from the entry grid which was the only way to stop the entries. Bill fixed this today and the classes are all showing again. I can pass along your suggestion to Bill and let him work out how to get it done.

Several more payments have been received, thank you. rcracingevents.com has been updated. If there is a (pending) next to your name, we have not received your payment.

I will start bumping out non paid entries on Sunday August 15th. If you can pay by Paypal and you want to run in a class that has been closed, e-mail me at [email protected] and we will work out the details.

Hi Don - Fred and Bobbie Robson just called me. I'm doing the IW post for them.

Their race check is in the mail.

This race is getting real exciting...

Glad to see a race like the old days.

Lots of nitro and lots of racers coming....

9 Days and counting!

Ron

There have been some withdrawals and some racers giving up their spots to let others in, so the final count is still a moving target. Looks like over 200 for sure. I am keeping up as quickly as I can and will notify anyone who has asked about entering a closed class as soon as spots may become available.

Summing up, closed classes are as follows; GX-1 Mono, A Mod Tunnel, A Mono, GX-1 Rigger, B Mod Tunnel, B Mono, B Hydro, Scale Unlimited Hydro, X Hydro, Classic Thunderboat, Twin Engine Rigger, Jersey Skiff.

There are several classes very close to being closed as well.

Thanks again to everyone who has entered, making this one of the best attended races in a long time.

Race entry has been cut off with drivers currently signed up at 86 and boats entered at 206. Total heats will be 145, not counting possible runoffs. Be prepared for a long day Saturday and most likely Sunday also.

If you are interested in submitting a late entry in a class that may have an opening, e-mail me at [email protected]. This will require Paypal payment of $25 per boat entered. I will take late entries to fill those classes that have fewer than the maximum entries. You will be entered into the race manually, so you won't show up on rcracingevents list of contestants. There will be no more heats added, please don't ask.

If you mailed your payment after the late entry date and you did not include the late entry fee amount, you will be required to pay the additional $10 per boat entered at the race before receiving your race entry sheet.

The following classes have openings as I am dropping those drivers who have not paid their entry (as previously announced)

GX-1 Rigger 3 spots

Twin Engine Rigger 3 spots

X Hydro 3 spots dropped, 1 taken (Rod Hendricks in)

GX-1 Sport Hydro 2 spots dropped

Jersey Skiff 2 spots dropped, 1 taken, 1 dropped to make class of 8 (Richie Lind in)

Thunderboat 2 spots dropped

GX-1 Mono 1 spot dropped

C Hydro 2 spots dropped

A Hydro 1 spot dropped

A Stock Tunnel 1 spot dropped

The following drivers have forfeited their spots: Sergio Perez, Ross Medina, Mark Grannis, Chad Grannis, Fred Allen, Greg Cardone, Yeshua Febles, Raul Rodriguez

If any of these drivers want to re-enter, the late entry fee is $25 per boat if class space allows. E-mail [email protected] with entry request and follow the instructions sent back.

Any one else who wants one of these spots can do the same to enter.
