A/A 84................Julian have you been smelling what has been cooking???? Only a handfull are going to survive running PRO MOD motors in TOP FUEL!!! We are Rapidly closing in on the ### mark for twins.

Welcome to class..............but when you are racing against the Schu and Dixon

You are going to need Antron reaction times!!! B) :) :D

Well thank for the kind words Big Chuck. I'll tell you this just like my personal reaction time on the line has been a perfect 400 pro light back in 1996 with a Pro Mod Camaro blown 1471 blown monster with a lenco tranny and how I pulled a hole hot on B Tunnel last year I should be ok. It will take some practice by all mean I'm no expert but I will learn from you great twin racers Im a fast learner ask Beasley.

Its gonna be interesting. And yes I smell NITRO TWINS lol.

Jeff , I don't think there will be any Gas Twins at this one as most are gonna be racing in Atlanta at the Gas Champs ..please enter and bring Eric down here as well ....lets really make this an event to remember ! :)

I really hope this will create for the future " West Coast Twin Shootout " ....It's got a nice ring to it !!

I completely forgot about you guys being Namba.I've got 101's in the twin,so its illegal.Eric does have a twin he could run.I might still come for x hydro with a single boat.Maybe Namba will up there displacement soon.See ya,Jeff

There is No reason for NAMBA NOT to Raise the CID rule in Twin Nitro racing...... Mike Schindler tech director @ the time helped IMPBA raise the size limit. But it will take some leadership within NAMBA to get it Done..... Who is the NAMBA dist 3 director? I believe the current size for Namba is 1.800 total. IMPBA TWINS raced as Special class rules for 25 years. It was not untill 2005 nats & several bad weather days that we realized that there were 20 plus Twins @ the Nats event that may never see the pond time. Many that attended eariler in the week events wanted to know when the Twins Come Out to Race???... We sat @ a breakfast table & talked about the importance of writing the rules for the class that would put it into the Regular Event Classes & make it a US1 class. Doc Turner & Mark Buallard wrote the rules in the middle of the nite & presented them to Bill zuber to see if IMPBA could expidite the classs rules before the 2006 Nats.... We were told that it would be easier to have the F class & the Twin CID rules to stay the same untill the class is established then change the CID number as the mfgers upped the engine sizes. With the 2.5 Twin Class engine size limit.... Now IMPBA has some wiggle room for a few years to come for the Engine Mfgers & Great racing in the TWIN ENGINE HYDRO CLASS.

Hey Jeff, I dont think they are turning anybody away from this one. As stated in an earlier post, if you have a twin anything bring it on down. We will need Don Reik to get on hear and clear this up or talk it up. The twins will run 4 heats and a shootout, plenty of time on the water for your entry fee so make sure you have enough fuel. Jeff, by the end of the first round, the guys that aren't serious will be cleaning their shorts and putting their twins away and watching us run. See ya in Brandon and pick Eric up on your way down.

Ralph

Guys,

This Twin Rigger "shootout" is being offered as a specialty class at our high points race. This class is not being run for high points, only for fun (OK, maybe some bragging rights) and a nice plaque. The only requirements to run in this class is that your entry will have twin engines. No single engine riggers will run in this class regardless of the number of entries.

Jeff, I know of no reason to exclude your twin 101 rigger.

Obviously the entries must meet NAMBA rigger specifications for the hull, also DB levels (95 max) must be met. ALL entries are required to have mufflers.

We are just trying to provide an opportunity for the guys who have invested in these machines to showcase them. Seems with all the interest there will be quite a show for everyone involved.
