OKEY!! ITS MY FIRST BIG ENGINE!!!!

I usually break in all my engine by setting the needle pretty rich and running the next size smaller prop. The smaller prop keeps you from putting to much load on the engine. Run it this way for 3-4 tank of fuel then start leaning it down til you find the right needle setting.

I found that bench break in for 3 tanks works pretty well for me. I run real rich, Am thinking 4 turns out on the CMB.80 i broke in, In the spring. Run water cooling to head and just let it sit and blubber run at a idle. I heat cycle them on the first tank, run 5 mins, set to BDC and let cool and restart. Its a real bitch to start as its real rich, Might have to pull a plug and spin to clear out fuel. then run with glow driver on plug to keep the fire lite. I do that the first tank, and then just let idle the others. then once at pond, pretty much ready to go, no chasing it cause its running rich and flames out.

My .02 worth HOW I DO IT. Others may do it differently.

But found it works pretty well, and real rich running, probably will not go over 180 degrees.
