I am seeing this from time to time. I see that on the sponsons, the hole for the boom tube mounts are drilled all the way through. Whats the reason for this? is it better to adhere the aluminum too? incase it breaks off inside? Thanks in advance.

Rob: if you are talking about the tube going through the sponson, yes it needs to go all the way through. the outer end needs support to counter the forces on the sponson twisting under the loads of the water. If you don't want to drill it all the way through, you would need to build a support block into the sponson to support the outer end of the tube, or it will eventually crush the foam and become loose. hope I explained it well enough. JAE's are the only hydro I have seen with the boom tube holes through both sides of the sponsons.
