I would think that the engine location would need to be change drastically as the CMB is very heavy compared to a Zen.

You might check with Bob Blazer or Brian Blazer. I see Brian at the lake but not around on here much these days. Bob checks the forums. Maybe send a PM. Also, I know Troy and TJ Hammonds had a lot of involvement with the boat design, so they’d be good sources as well. They are both around here quite a bit.

On second though, I retract my earlier post. The weight would not be that far off. I would just widen the front sponson ride pads slightly. It would still be a tight squeeze into a tub that narrow, but easily fixed with wider bulkheads and top/bottom tub skins.

In Italy ivano Dellanoche runs a rigger comparable to a slingshot with cmb 27. Very very fast and stable. I will try a rear exhaust SG reed engine..
All I would do with slingshot is new hood and as much flotation as you can put in

I believe Ivano was at the last WC in France and won H-27?

Yes, he also won in 2016. Usually he laps the competition in a 6 lap race… So the combo can be very powerful.

I have no doubt it is of an unobtainable Italian alloy similar to the particular engine he is running. There is a reason he is a factory pilot.
