What's up, friends!
Decided to check back in with an end of season update: HUGE Thank You to everyone who have continued to follow this thread and message me with their questions and queries about these kits. I've had so many people hit me up who are considering and/or have purchased Slingshots since I started putting this thing together and I'm happy to help you guys get in the water and be just as happy with these monsters as I am!
So, the season is over and I've had this boat in the water about every 2 weeks or so since spring and I'm happy to report, it's still just as solid and just as fast as ever!!

My sealing job has held up really well for my first attempt. I've only had one area on the stuffing tube brace that has allowed water to creep in. However I believe this to be from me not dulling the edges of the carbon enough before gluing in place.

I'm still in awe of this thing and slightly scared of her when she's running her +7 prop 😅 but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Stellar looking and running boat. As soon as I get a little further along with the T-Boat I’ll be getting my own Slingshot started. I can’t imagine it won’t go incredibly well with your thread to refer to. And I will touch base on those points we talked about before moving forward with those steps. Once again, excellent job Mario!

Tnx Bill. I copied it from a picture I found somewhere. I think it was from one of the first built Slingshots. I had it made out of 2mm CF.
I recognize that boat and basement... :) Man that was a pretty boat when we first finished it. That's a ford color if I remember correctly. That was the first production boat off the line. We still have the old prototype tubs as well.

Then my memory of the picture was correct. Really liked the pipe support, have not seen it anywhere else.

Sorry. I know this is a old post, and I must say Mario your builds are so methodical man. I hope to be on your level some day. On that note... I really want to build a gas rigger I think they're beautiful kits. But I can't decide on my first gas rigger build. I'm able to get a Envy kit for about 300$ or should I go with the mlboatworks RSX470, or the slingshot? Which one do you like the most?

I can vouch for the Slingshot. It is a very good boat. Dan Ellison also puts out some good stuff. He is on this forum. I don’t know about the others but I’m sure they are good bets too based on who is recommending them. I’ve seen people have problems with the Envy trying to get the boat to track straight. I’m a big fan of Zippkits and everything they do but this is not one of my faves. Troy and TJ Hammonds, also on here, may be able to hook you up as well. They are known as TNT Racing. Troy actually designed the Blazer Slingshot. If you want to contact them the best thing to do is send a PM to TJ Hammonds.
