thank you ,that's a very nice boat. I will think about it for my youngest son and i have to dig a jetboat track in my garden ,i want it all the years but with this boat for my son i have a very good reason to do that and i need a second boat for me to play with him .

Hey Tim, I have a few if you want to try them, we have a small group that is running the Pro Marine Phantom SV33RC,it's a vee hull, it runs on 3s up to a 6s 5000mah, and handles great.

Just wondering, and coming from a guy who ran Nitro all his life. I would take it that you would need 3

Fully charged lipo packs to run 3 heats, or should I bring my generator to run my chargers. Or can I just use an inverter of my vehicle to charge battery. I have electric planes and just charge 3 or 4 packs, but boats take way more capacity than planes.

Just getting interested in electric boats recently. The ul 19 looks bad ass. It might be as fast or faster than my whip 20.

[SIZE=10.5pt]There are many different answers to your question about battery management. If money isn’t a constraint, I like to have 2 packs at the pond per class I am racing. This eliminates the need to IMMEDIATELY charge a pack after a heat.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt]The other thing to consider is the time between heats for your FE boat. If there is A LOT of time between heats, you can probably get away with one pack.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt]With regards to charging equipment; the more times you intend on charging at the pond, the better support you’re going to need. If you have 2 packs and your only running 3 heats, then just doing your final charge on your car or truck battery would be fine. However, I would not suggest this method unless your able to keep a close eye on the battery and charger during the charging process. I personally have never tried the inverter, so I can’t really comment.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt]I have a generator that I carry with me, but I charge multiple batteries at one time and need to charge multiple times thought the day. On one hand a generator is more convenient because all of your charging equipment is in or very near to your pits. However, lugging a generator and gas (if needed) can be a PIA.[/SIZE]

It's a large lake and the water is not like a pond so I am thinking something with some size and will take rougher water but still have some speed. Catamaran? . Budget maybe $350-$400. Radios, receivers and battery chargers I have plenty of but would like an extra battery pack.
