Phil,

I think an 85 mph rigger is more than entry level.

Your new 45 with the 101 will be an advanced

boat for sure.

It's very nice to know all this information and I appreciate everyones input. I have to agree with shoboat that's a big boat for me. I'm looking for a 21 hydro guess novarossi will be the the engine of choice for a rigger. I started this thread to find out information.

I wanna use the following;

Engine- novarossi 5 port or 35 plus ;-)

Boat- undecided

Props- Sholund

Tank- Walt Barney

Radio- futaba 3pk all digital servos

NR 5 port and the JAE can very well win lots of races... but really,.. are there any entry level riggers? The .21 and .12s are finicky little devils for sure....

The JAE would be a must because you don't tune the boat,.. it's already done.. just the pipe, prop and motor...

Anthony as you well said my Jae G3 with Nr .12 is a Demon ! I 'm still very surprised with its perfiormance considering such a tiny boat!

MY FIRST RIGGER WAS A SG 80 80 % KIT FROM ANDY IN 1999.

PUT A STOCK PICCO 80 IN IT AND JUST FOLLOWED ANDY'S DIRECTIONS.

RAN GREAT FROM THE START AND STILL RUNS STRONG.

JUST REBUILT THE PICCO EXR 80 SILVERHEAD AND SANDED AND REPAINTED THE BOAT.

STILL RUNNING GREAT

for a low budget this combo ZIPP JAE .12 G2 plus GO Engine (7 ports) and GRSBOATS carbon pipe it's an awesome fast entry level boat.'''see the video.

Thanks

Gill

starting at the 50 second mark of P spec electric riggers. At our club races four boats start and usually four boats finish. Because the boats are so equal, propellers are critical. It's fun racing and a wonderful test bed for modifications since you don't have to deal with power plant reliability once you understand the system's maximum current.
