All,

If the bearings feel gritty after being cleaned in solvent but turn over smoothly with light oiling, are they still considered bad?? Can I get more mileage from them?

Thanks,

Kez

I have found out the hard way if you are in doubt of any bearing the end result is it always cheaper to replace the bearings than what they tear up when they fail :)

I would change the bearing if it were me. Bearings are cheeper then replacing a motor cause of bearing failure.

Change them. The roughness you feel is actually pitting. Like Terry said, cheaper than grenading the motor.
