Well its now Friday and one day to go with 1/8th Scale tomorrow.

The Aussies have had a little bit of bad luck, but......

Bill Annabel has a second in Twin Hydros and a third in X Hydro

Steve Winks got 5th in B hydro with the new WBR boat.

I got 9th in Sport 60 after the plug fell out in the final heat and I can't wait for the Scale races on Saturday.

Have met many people including people from IntlWaters and has been a very good experience so far.

Next Tuesday the Aussie team will fly to the Internats at Jackson.

G'Day to everyone at home and I'll see you soon.

This is a photo of the bad luck Steve Winks had today.

But the boat did come out in one piece with only a few scratches and replaced the thrust washers on the shaft, then it went out and won the next heat.

Unbelievable.

Racing has just finished a couple of hours ago and I didn't do real good.

In my first heat the pond monster sucked the boat under about 20 metres before the finish line and it didn't get better for me for the rest of the day.

I will say that the 1/8th scale final today had 8 boats, it was the best race I have ever watched and 7 out the 8 finished.

Congrats to all the winners in the past week at the NAMBA Nats and now we look forward to the IMPBA Internats.

Nitrocarzed ran the Firefighter and while it ran it did run good as I was pitting for him. Seemed to have a problem of stopping through the turn which we were maybe thinking it was the water getting it to the carby.

Ian didn't hit anything so it is still in piece.

Hey Grub,

You Aussie guys are the best. It was an honor and a pleasure to hang with you for the week. Good luck at the Internats.

.............and if anyone ever needs to auction an item and needs a "caller", Justin is the man. He provided the best entertainment you could imagine at the awards banquet. This guy had us rolling in stitches on the floor.

Tom,

Looks like it needs a cowl. Ian seems to think water is getting into the carb. He nailed a bouy and got run over but it is still in 1 piece! Might put in a better show at IMPBA nat's....

For anyone who's interested - the Australian Nationals (we only have 1! hehehe) this year is on the 27th- 31st December in sunny Queensland. It would be great to have some Non -Aussie IW racers make the trip over. HOW ABOUT IT GUYS? Nice place for a holiday!

Tim.

Hey Tim, maybe you could scale it down just a bit for the FF.12 too! My outting this weekend was less then sucessful because of that too <_<

The 15 Aussies enjoyed themselves very much and we have to thank every person that helped us get here and kept us running.

Also must say a BIG thank you to all the kind guys over here that were so helpful... made life so much easier!

Think I must also make a special mention of Al Hobbs and Lenny Blake....2 of the nicest guys I have met in boating (also including in that group Ira Cotton!)

Tony Rhodes and Ralph Henry hosted a great event... ably assisted by a large group of enthusiatic volunteers.

BIG KUDOS to you all.....you know who you are!!
