Try for 14 oz then if you get another engine you won't have to make a bigger tank. the K & B will not use over 12 to 12 1/2 oz.

I always ran a 16 oz in a 40 mono, You will have a little after the heat is over (approx 2-3 oz) & locate it as close to the engine as you can. So the fuel burn off don`t change the CG effect.

not 100% sure how im gonna set it up yet either make one baffled tank to set between the rails up front, or make two one on each side Just a hair ahead of the CG---most likely one in front, soon as I get my finances straight again, I will start to do some work on it..Might do the body and paint on it but usually I like to have my hardware and everything mocked up on the hull first--

switched topic around, figure why waste the boards space with other threads on the same boat Ill post more in here as I go

pictures of what ive got done so far---how I got it on--- dont believe this hull has ever seen fuel, been painted twice but WAY to clean and zero oil residue in the sucker, my guess its been a project on one or two different peoples benches that never got finished--till now-- acitone and scotch bright knocked the rattle can right off the first paint was better paint, smoothed out the seam, fixed a couple top side chips, rear someone had glassed a piece of the pipe cut out from the cowl to make it fill the gap so I removed this and am in the process of repairing the area and blending the rear cowling recess as its going cowl-less. bottom has never been touched so been working the top side for now. old hardware holes plugged off and filled with resin and milled fibers Pictures are all 80g its down to 320 now but dont have any shots yet

back end fixed up--instead of filling the hatch lip on the rear end I completely removed and blended it as it didnt compromise the hull in any way, blocked in the transom to be nice and square, nicest part of it all is the bottom of the boat only had a tiny little rocker clear back by the transom, with that said--bottom is also blocked in and ready to go, little bit of finishing putty on the back edge where it was blended to fill some little air pockets that popped up hit the rear with 320 finish out the rest of the bottom and shoot the primer..

have the deck brace cut out and fitted to the hull, sealed and tacked in place, will glass it in later tonight filled a few pin holes that popped up after prime and resprayed those fixed areas--

adding the brace to the underside made this hull solid as a rock! Think im going to be doing this to my other mono now-- and most likely any other clam shell hull i get that has no brace..

Keep the pictures coming and dont bail out!You should buy my 45 and transplant the CMB in the hull your reworking!

I have a K&B 7.5 im going to have rod work over for me one of these days, really like the hull and think it will handle the kansas water good, Im itching to paint it, but want to try to learn to paint true fire first ;)

Still working on it, have everything figured out as to how and what is going into this build--and everything thats machined aluminum is getting polished on this one--possible mix of polished and anodized parts not sure yet-- tore the 7.5 down worked through it some and the nice thing is it came with the boat and from the tear down i see it has never seen a drop of fuel-- not using a cowling but am going to make a fiberglass plate to velcro over the front section above the engine
