Guys,

Jim may know the problem better than us. Heat treated propellers can break just as easy I agree.

Sometimes the flexing of the blade just snaps them off. There are many possible causes to this problem.

I do know Mercury Racing has decided to make most of their high performance propellers out of their own

Stainless Steel formula so it happens even more on even bigger boat propellers. In the past and present

I know Jim usually stands behind his products, so I think he will make things right for Roman in the end.

Interesting Topic For Sure,

Thanks Mark. I decide to use 1667 on my 91 hydro. The material of Octura is more stressful than ABC. I also have one stainless steel 1667 and its run perfect for me.

Roman,

Stainless Steel can break off also. Most of the problem is the constant loading

and unloading of our model boats going through waves in testing and racing.

Most all propellers flex, and too much flexing along with the loading and unloading

is most of the problem that we have in breaking model boat propellers.

Remember to wear great breathing protection when grinding Stainless Steel.

It is one of the worst metals that you can breathe. The nickel content is really

bad for our lungs, even worst than most of the other metals in our castings.

Well this has been going on for a very long time

I think we have overloaded what the H-48 can handle

The new Power Plants out there have so much more power today

Then what the prop was designed for

As Failure goes

I can not go by Pictures

I need the item to test its that simple

As for issues on the land Really?

I guess the alloy of choice that we use is in question

But it was good enough for passes in the 149 and 154 mph range

Watch the 149 run posted on here

As for Heat Treating

You can make the props to brittle

I like just stress relieving them myself

One good customer service experience can change the entire perception a customer holds towards the organization.
