Just got through modifying an AA 45. I must say. The workmanship Rossi put into those engines is excellent. Best piston liner I've seen to come out of Italy.

The P/L will work in the MAC 45.

How dirty was the engine inside when you started? Mine was spotless. What kind of mods are you doing?

It was spotless! Even wiping down the chrome in the liner and other parts with a white paper towel produced no black residue often found in other engines.

Mine came the same way...Cleanest engine I've ever had. Anxiously awaiting open water.

It's the first motor I have ever bought that deserved the term Aces! It was spotless and machine work was beautiful. Hey Andy care to share photos of the mods?

Hey Andy,

I just changed my Mac 45 P/L to the AA45 over the winter. I have not run it yet, but maybe this weekend. Will let you know.

OK , You're on, you have to show me before Sport 40 runs though ;-) I finally got mine in the MuttII testing this weekend. I did find that the bottom end of the rod was tighter than I like and opened it up a little.

One of the best 45's I have seen out of the box. Took the head shim out and this set the head deck at 0.010". Been running one for over a year. Bad fast motor out of the box. I found that the rod clearance was just were it needed to be. I did install a couple of new oil holes in the bottom of the rod to improve oiling. The max spec on the rod fit should be no more than 0.0022" for the RPM we run.

Al could you send me a price on the 45 and whats the news for the 67 or 90 size??
The A/A 45 is $410.00 delivered in the USA.

With the weak US Dollar and the strong Euro, I hesitate to get going on another enigne. I had hoped to have the 67 and 80 out this Spring, but the cost of the Euros is just too high right now.

The AA45 showed up strong in Salt Lake City this past weekend. The fastest boat until it hit a stick was an AA45 powered Eagle SGX and the winner of the Class was a different AA45 powered SGX.

Great Motor.

I watched you win the class Robert. Your driving had a lot to do with it.
