Simple, they'll confiscate them just like they did in other countries that banned personal ownership of firearms. It's already a felony to own an unregistered gun so if something like this gets enacted (and they're much closer than you think) then they already have a registration list to go door to door. The registrations become null and void and if you don't turn over your gun(s) you are arrested on felony charges of possessing an unlicensed firearm. For too long a time gun owners have figured on the 2nd ammendment to protect them, this is another end run around our Consitution just like a few other moves your current President has done. He couldn't get cap and trade passed so instead he has empowered the EPA to, in his own words, fine and tax the coal companies out of existence. Things are changing in this country and not for the better but unfortunately society in general has been purposely dumbed down to the point they are now more concerned with who's getting kicking off Dancing with the Stars instead of things like this. All I can say is I hope people wake up before it's too late .............. but it may already be past that point.

The ban being introduced is on assualt weapons ak-47,ar-10,m-16 type stuff. What will probably get passed as a bill is a limit on the magazines they hold (20 rounds) down to 10 or 8 so load up before it goes the way of the streetsweeper and the 9mm. As for taking someones guns away that will never work especially if they are stolen or sold privately like they do in virginia. Didn't they learn the last time they tried to take guns from citizens...Ruby Ridge. The gun industry is HUGE.. the tax revenue from licensing and permits is MASSIVE. Some states use "guns" and there owners to "CONTROL" animal populations.
