A/A Kit Engines

[Al Hobbs]

I spent today travelling to the CNC shop making engine parts for me. I checked to see the parts being produced and to see what is left to finish.

The A/A 45 carbs are being made now. Attached are photos of the carb bodies, produced in the USA. The carb body is not cast, it is machined from one piece.

I have a few more parts to have finished and the A/A 45 engine kits will be ready. I am planning to have everything ready in April.

The A/A 21 engines are also being produced in the USA. This is a new A/A 21 and I hope the kits will be ready to ship in May or June.

I'm sure you could get that done at a good machine shop. Just pricey to make a few.

There is a big expense up front for the engineering and set up. If the first kits s3ell well, I'll look at other engine sizes.

And, yes, some of the special aluminum products are taking time to arrive.

Just a note to anyone that enjoys this hobby, If you can afford it, buy these engines and any new engines If you want our hobby to survive. Without commercial support, it will all fade and possibly die.
