I spent today at the machine shop that is producing many of the A/A Pro 21 and A/A 45 engine kit parts.

The 45 carb body and control arm are machined of 6061 aluminum. The car barrel is stainless steel. One photo is of an assembled carburetor ready to be bolted in place.

The A/A 21 Pro water jacket is also machine of 6061 aluminum to better dissipate heat.

I am still waiting on a few more parts as this shop's major customers are aerospace companies. They are keeping this shop pretty busy to replace military weapons.

Also, I have found another European shop to produce the pistons and sleeves and I will not be receiving any more items from Ukraine in the foreseeable future.

It has been several years to get this far and there is still a ways to go. The machine shops and machinists you want to use are kept busy by larger companies who stress quality. So, I am competing with companies such as Raytheon to have my parts made. Raytheon is willing to pay a lot more than I am for machine and machinist.

The parts being made for the A/A 45 engine fit the original engines. The stainless steel barrel will slide right into one of the older carb bodies. The only difference is how the control arm is attached.
