Hello everyone,

I need an engine for seaducer90

There are several manufacturers but only 2 engine styles : CMB91HR & CMB91RS. I know that they have absolutely different design.

Can anyone explain how besides the design they are different in use, RPM, power, easy in setup, lifetime and repair cost. Is there any reason to pay more for RS engine?

Thanks,

Anatoliy

I have 2 45 RSs and love them. In stock form they are beasts. I have seen a guy with HRs modify the heck out of them and still not get them to run like the stock RSs. I have also heard they are virtually bulletproof. I really think you can not go wrong with the RS.

I have the 101 rs which is almost the same as the 91rs and I have had very good luck with it. I would get the rs I think.

Thanks Daniel

Anatoliy,

Get either the 91 or better the 101RS with the ABC sleeve. The RS motors are more expensive, but trust me they are a better motor than the HR's. The RS is a little more of a headache to work on, but they are very strong motors and rarely need major servicing. The HR's need more tweaking to get them to run good. They have more potential in the right hands, but its very hard to beat the RS when installed in a mono. The HR is best suited for a hydro.
